Meditation also is better than American's favorite past time--shopping. We'll explore spiritual autobiographies to understand how and why meditative arts connect us to that which we seek in our efforts to resolve such paradoxical issues as accumulation/sustainability, passion/violence, creativity/depression, sensuality/asceticism, faith/reason, work/leisure, and God/addiction. Classes will integrate literature and theory with practice (meditation, classical yoga) and will meet concurrently on Monday with The Neurophysiology of Meditation.

Join local chiropractor and advanced meditator, Robert Provasoli and Evergreen Faculty, Sarah Williams as they team up to explore if enlightenment is really possible. This course will be useful to all community members and specifically those interested in the health of the mind and body.
