Note: This 8-credit program will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. First class will meet in SEM 2 E1105.
Students will study the anatomy and physiology of the human body using a systems approach while exploring the interrelationship of health and disease in the human body, through an exploration of common pathological conditions. Each system will be covered utilizing a traditional lecture and laboratory format. At the conclusion of each system, students will demonstrate their knowledge through case studies that focus on practical applications.
Students can earn upper division credits by demonstrating their proficiency of the material. Credits in this class meet some requirements for the MIT program as well as prerequisites for many graduate programs in health sciences.
Credits: 8 per quarter
Program is preparatory for careers and future studies in wellness, health, and health-related fields.
