Note: This 8-credit program will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in LAB 2 3216/3220.
This advanced interdisciplinary science program will allow students the opportunity to research and perform experiments on topics relevant to their studies and interest. Initial activities will include selecting a project by defining the question to be answered, this will be followed by designing and performing the needed experiments to achieve results. Students will work individually or in small groups and participate in weekly class discussions related to problems and progress encountered in their lab work. Evaluations will be based upon effort, weekly progress reports (lab notebook) and a formal presentation to their peers.
Interested students who have a project in mind should contact the instructor prior to the beginning of spring quarter.
