Description

To prepare for a reading endorsement or to understand more about literacy development, participants will engage in readings and workshops that address the major theories of language and learning regarding the development of best instructional practices for literacy instruction. In addition, the course will explore the relationship of first and second language acquisition to learning, as well as how oral language supports print literacy development. Course credits contribute to minimum coursework expectations for a teaching endorsement in reading.
