Natural Capitalism: A Pathway to Sustainability

Fall 2013 quarter

Taught by

business, management, green marketing

The class is about the fundamental differences between social systems (like a business or supply chain) and natural systems (like the Hoh rainforest).  The social systems are created by humans.  There can be no "system" without the human actors who inhabit it and take the actions that bring it to life.  This class will help the student acquire a tool box of system tools that will help them take action and bring their work to life.  Natural capital is built by work arising from how we work, how we think, and the shapes of the systems as they fit into the dynamics of capitalism.
