Spanish, Beginning II

NEW

Fall 2014 quarter

Taught by

Beginning Spanish II is designed for students with some prior Spanish studies; for example, one quarter at college-level or a year in high school. The course takes place entirely in Spanish in an interactive learning environment. Students review and build upon their language skills through listening, conversation, reading and writing. Conversation takes place mainly in small groups. Class discussions and audiovisual presentations will cover a wide range of practical and cultural topics. Students acquire and expand their working vocabulary, with emphasis on applying verbs, pronouns and key elements of grammar. Writing and reading assignments reinforce their communication skills. Level testing and placement advising will be available during the first week to help students who need to determine their skill level.
