Counseling Methods and Strategies will introduce students to the world of therapeutic skills used in counseling and therapy. Students will develop their active listening skills, group leadership, and explore the counseling theories guiding therapeutic endeavors. Our reading will include personality theory, diagnoses and psychopathology, and ethics. Students will develop through experiential communication skills a range of approaches from behavioral to depth psychology.
