Japanese - First Year I, II, III

This year-long sequence covers the first year of Japanese language studies and is designed for complete beginners. Students will learn how to function in Japanese in everyday situations by learning useful expressions and basic sentence structures. Both hiragana and katakana letters as well as elementary kanji characters will be introduced. Class activities will include presentations, watching film and TV clips, and discussion. Japanese culture and life will be discussed throughout the course.
