Jazz Dance

In this class, students will learn introductory basics of jazz movement (isolated extremities, polyrhythmic African styles and basic anatomy) by exploring the historical aspects and origins of the African Diaspora and European influences in North America through movement, youtube offerings, and discussions.  Students will gain greater flexibility and coordination by executing fun yet challenging dance combinations.  No previous experience necessary.
