I'm planning on putting together a colage of my own pictures both
b+w and color that shows how ugly or inanimate technology is, and and
beautiful the nature world is. My artist is Kathrine Joste. Is is a well known astist in Arizona.
She is doing a project called the Global Art Project, this project matches
people from everywhere to other people of everywhere. When matched
these people send their partner a piece of art that is a vision of global
unity. She has persistence of a vision.

I am researching the works of Roy Lichtenstein, as well as creating a mixed media sculpture using primarily discarded "information tools" (computer parts). I am also working on an SOS project about the Unabomber and his choice of targets.

I am doing Bertold Brecht - Dramatic Play writer - because I think
his work is wonderful. Yet it is not truly "visual" art (but text and
acting which seems very visual to me and more personally
experienced than a painting
or sculpture, anyway that is partially why I want to present him to the
class)

I am studying the dada movement that took place early in the 20th century, with an emphasis on the movements leader, Tristan Tzara, as well as photographer Man Ray and painter Marcel Duchamp. I plan to create an interactive book which will encompass the themes (or lack thereof) of the dada movement.
Rick Landry
My 'artist presentation' will be the artwork and
enveloping times of Gregg Thompson, my son.
The format will be a slides gallery of his works, and
a kind of tribute or honorarium of what was transpiring
in the time 'framing' his creative periods. My S.O.S. is to create an online 'zine dedicated to poetry;
an electronic journal. York has suggested I first originate
it on my Student Home Page, so that is where it is being
assembled. I have many ideas, I've made some progress,
but I'm very much involved and the project seems immense!
Scott Decker
My art project will be a review of a local photographer/artist by
the name of Carl Lew. Also, my sos is a case study of E2SSB 6705 (senate
bill),requiring a higher education technology plan.
David Eisenberg
I am producing a series of short digital video peices comprised entirely of images and sound bites appropriated (read: stolen) from the mass media empire which envelops us all. In addition to this work I am researching the Survival Research Laboratory.
