The "The Moving Edge", a symposium on computer arts, computer graphics, and moving images, will host nationally known speakers on Mondays from January 12 through March 2 at The Evergreen State College , an interdisciplinary, alternative, undergraduate, public institution. "The Moving Edge" is part of an annual series on developments in the computer field funded by proceeds from software developed by Evergreen students and faculty in the early 1980's. This is the first year that the symposium will be devoted entirely to computer generated Media Arts and Animation. Objectives of the symposium will be to explore the state of the art and the technology, and to consider how artists and computer scientists collaborate to make moving images.
