We left Beijing on the Chinese New Year’s eve to avoid the HUGE crowds on the train, then spent 4 weeks traveling around Yunnan province in south central China. We had a great time with really not too many traveling disasters, despite very few folks who could understand English.  We have broken the trip into the 7 sections described in the links to the left.  There are 2 pages of pictures for Tiger Leaping Gorge.
