Program Annoucements

Please check this page regularly.

4/15: You should have gotten this by email --

1) READING FOR THURSDAY, April 17: If you were unable to get a copy of the Civics for Democracy text, you need to
borrow it from a friend to make a photocopy of the
chapters on The Civil Rights Movement (for Thurs.) and
The Women's Movement (for later in the quarter). These
readings are NOT on reserve.

2) Thinking ahead to next week's WORKSHOP, we'd like
to ask you to please bring a newspaper or magazine
clipping (or entire article) to class THIS FRIDAY
about the recent anti-war protests. The clipping or
article can be from any time during the last few weeks
and from any newspaper or magazine. (Please have the
name of your source and the date, if possible, on the
clipping.) Anything that includes photos will be
particularly interesting.

3) ROOM CHANGE FOR FRIDAY: We will be meeting in
Lecture Hall 4 on Friday at our regular time (11 am)
to watch the film Jefferson's Blood. The film will be
followed by a discussion.

3/25: Links to on-line texts for week 1 will be found on the resources page. Although these can be useful, please do not come to seminar without hard copy in hand (these texts are not expensive).
