Laboratory Summary

Cookies and Electrons:  You have to come to class to see what this lab is all about

The Glass Where Pollution Begins:  This laboratory is found in your textbook at the beginning of chapter 9 (page 201).  You will need to bring to class:  8 drinking glasses (plastic 12 oz), a waterproof marking pen, a ruler, a teaspoon, and a few teaspoons of salt in a container for each group.

The Isotopes of Pennium:  This laboratory is found on this website.  Click the title to view the instructions.  Bring a printed copy of the instructions to the lab with you.  You will need to bring a empty film canister to this lab (and a pencil and paper).. 

Petroleum and Strong Tea:  Found at the beginning of chapter 7 (page 148 - 9) of your text.  You will need to bring about a cup of a hot drink, such as tea, coffee or soup.  I will be doing the chlorophyll extraction.  You may want to bring some colorful leaves, although there are many available on campus.

Breath with the Strength of Red Cabbage:   Found at the beginning of chapter 10 (page 229 - 30) in the text.  You will need to bring 6 - 12 oz plastic cups for each group to class.

With Nerves as Steady as a Chemical Bond:  Beginning of  chapter 13 (page 307).  You will need to bring 1 - 12 oz plastic up and a thumback for each person.
