Salvation

I bear your poisoned arrow
to deliver hope within deep laceration

bury hostility beneath your arid blood
soul parched from severe sorrow

dejected spirit and broken wings
fragmented mind forgets how to fly
and melancholy storms dry lightning nights

once radiant disembodied being, sets forth on
eyeless exploration under bleak crimson sky

no celestial body brazen enough
to endure witness,
to yelps and bellows breached

as I tore open unforgiving heavens
in search of my beloved

humble on capitulated knees
forgotten breath spews fire

I yearn to relinquish peace
my brother,
your arrow bears copious blood
