Class Info: Governance

As part of gaining experience with practical democracy, all students will take part in governing certain aspects of the program. These will include deciding and carrying out arrangements for maintaining the studio space, for meetings during the faculty retreat in week 6, and for the end-of-quarter festival in week 10. This will be a required part of the program for everyone, and will consist of a weekly student-run meeting, some training in group decision-making, readings on community governance and decision-making, and periodic reflective papers.
