CULTURAL ENCAPSULATION--Rubric 4e
FALL 2004 STUDENT TEACHING

DUE:  Monday May 9

Part 1:  Identify your own cultural capital (values, beliefs, assumptions).  Make your values and beliefs transparent to the rest of us.  Much of this may come from what you wrote last year.  However, we do not need your life story--just the list of values and beliefs.

Part 2:  After identifying your values, beliefs and assumptions discuss the specific ways in which your teaching decisions this quarter are influenced by these filters.

This should ALL be new--contextualize your filters in terms of your current student teaching.  Be specific about decision making, and how those decisions may have included or excluded particular groups (not just race/ethnicity, but also learning styles, personality types, SES groups, etc.)
