Average engagement with the text/task	Response shows excellent close reading, accuracy of findings and thoughtful elaboration. Above average engagement with the text/task.
Conclusions	Conclusions either inaccurately or not completely identified. Critique of support is absent, or based on personal opinion rather than research criteria.	Some conclusions identified and provides some attempt to critique support.	Accurately identifies all conclusions, and provides elaborated, thorough critique of support based on research criteria
