GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SEMINAR PAPERS

Each week your paper will address that week's readings and INTEGRATE all the readings/activities/research gone before.  The focus of the paper should answer the questions:

For weeks 2-5 your paper each week should reflect your understandings of the books/authors read.  Your paper should address:


For weeks 5-10 we will have you begin to add a section to your paper in which you start to write your OWN philosophy of teaching and learning supported by your own research (minimum of 2 outside resources each week) as well as the seminar texts.  We will discuss this more as we go along each week.  Your paper should address:
 

  • a) an explication of what the sources say about teaching and learning (backed up with sufficient quotes and page numbers)
  • b) a compare and contrast of how authors' views are alike or different
  • c) a discussion of your OWN developing understanding of teaching and learning
