Arts, Environment and the Child: Walking the Wheel of the Seasons

Amanda

Formerly, Mandy the bus driver, I returned to school after I wore out my elbows driving. I enjoy working with people, especially people who are shorter than me. I have worked in daycares with infants and toddlers, and with children from preschool to high school as a bus driver. People often ask me what my favorite age group is and I have never been able to decide. More than likely there are certain students that I will never forget. Ones that have taught me something about myself are especially memorable.

I have returned to Evergreen after graduating in 1994 to learn how to teach formally. I have been teaching children how to read, write, play, be safe, and draw using my imagination and experience. I am interested in language development and would love to be a grade school ESL teacher. Or I would like to be a language arts teacher. Or even a first grade teacher. Maybe I would like to be a school librarian. What I really want is to be ready to be wherever I need to be when I am needed. I can't wait!
