Arts, Environment and the Child: Walking the Wheel of the Seasons

Genevieve Becker

I like to make funny faces. I also love trees, children, and music, in any order.

I was raised my Miami Florida climbing whispering pine trees, which are also called Australian pines. The habit of climbing trees has somehow stuck with me and occasionally I am fortunate enough to climb for the Forest Canopy Lab (where I work). I also work as a ropes course facilitator, where I climb on equipment and make a fool of myself while I encourage participants to climb tall, wooden structures. It is a lot of fun.

I strive to be a singing environmental educator for children. I know that may sound different but the job actually exists out there in this expansive yet small world.
