Arts, Environment and the Child: Walking the Wheel of the Seasons

Stacey

I absolutely love to garden. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I've discovered all kinds of new and fascinating plants that I've incorporated into my garden. I'd like to say that gardening can be theraputic, but my garden has this nasty patch of knotweed that I can't get rid of. It drives me bonkers.

I am very excited about this course which seeks to discover the wonders of nature as seen through the eyes of the child. Growing up, I always played outside in the woods and felt like I 'knew' all the plants -- there was a level of familiarity with nature that I experienced as a child that I've never experienced since. I hope to reconnect with nature by rediscovering those early childhood instincts.
