VE-  Mt. Rainier Field Trip

Meet at 8:00 am in Parking Lot C


Bring:  Water, Sack Lunch, Snacks, Day Pack, Nature Journal,  Sunglasses (glare from sun on snow), Sun Screen., Hat for Sun Shade.  Dress in Layers beginning with a lightweight T-Shirt. Make sure you have:  Warm Hat, Warm Gloves, Rain/Wind Jacket/Pants, Warm Pants, Warm Shirt and Sweater, Wool Socks and Hiking Boots.

Directions to Mount Rainier


Leave TESC  Parking Lot C
Take 101 toward I-5
Take 1-5 NORTH.
Take the WA-512 EAST exit, exit number 127, towards Puyallup/ Mt. Rainier.
Merge onto WA-512 E.  Stay on 512
Watch the signs carefully for the next exits, they are confusing.
Take the WA-167 NORTH exit towards Seattle (WA-410 E)/YAKIMA.
Merge onto WA-167 N.
Take the WA-410 EAST exit towards SUMNER/ YAKIMA.

Pass through Sumner and Enumclaw
Stay on WA 410 East

Turn Right into the White River Entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park.

Wait at the road block past the entrance station.
