Useful Stuff

Monday, January 21 is a holiday, so the computer labs will be closed that day.  Jeff will be available to help with your programs 4pm-6pm on Sunday, January 20.

If you’re having trouble connecting to your Calawah files from off-campus, check out these instructions for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X.

Our Python tutor/grader’s name is Jeff Luxmore.  He’s available to help you via e-mail – his login is luxjef09 (that’s an Evergreen address) – and he’ll also be available to help you in the computer lab from 4pm to 6pm on Mondays.

CFtemplate.py, the Python program template file.  Use this every time you write a Python program in Calculated Fiction.  You can save this file to your computer or copy and paste the text from your browser window into the Python editing window.

www.python.org.  There’s a bonanza of useful stuff here, including free downloads of the current version of Python for all kindsa operating systems.

All readings are from Michael Dawson’s Python Programming for the absolute beginner, 2nd edition unless otherwise indicated.
