Supply List for Animal Morphology, Motion and Mind (Winter 2012)

New students: you will need to check out an animation inking board from Media Loan for the quarter.  Fill out the Extended Loan form (handed out in class), get a faculty signature, and check out the board by the end of week 1.

All books and supplies may be purchased at the Evergreen bookstore.

Supply list for students:

  • Sketchbook for art studio, project notes and lab exercises. It should be at least 8 ½ x 11 inches with blank pages (i.e. not ruled). We recommend a spiral bound notebook that will remain in a flat position for drawing and note-taking.
  • Binder with separators for notes, handouts, papers
  • Two each 2B and 4B pencils
  • Staedtler Plastic Eraser
  • Black Pentel sign pen
  • Blue painter’s tape
  • Animation paper (16 lb bond available in the bookstore)
  • 2-3 file folders for animation drawings
  • Thumb drive or external hard drive for digital animation storage
  • Day planner

Optional:

  • Color pencils
  • Exacto knife
  • Glue stick
  • Other art materials

Art supply list for students (to be purchased before first day of class):

  • Portfolio for carrying animation board (minimum 16” x 19”, red wallet type with handles is fine)

  • Kneadable eraser
  • 6” x 6” square of old t-shirt or other soft cotton cloth
  • Black Pentel sign pen
  • Water color or sumi brush
  • Blue painter’s tape
  • Animation paper (16 lb bond available in the bookstore)
  • Three letter-size file folders for animation drawings
  • Cardboard portfolio for animation board
  • Thumb drive or external hard drive for digital animation storage
  • Day planner
