Coluratura
Using old super-8 footage from her family's home movies, recordings from her grandmothers singing days, juxtaposed with current family footage and audio recordings Aurora goes through the memories of her grandmother and analyzes the relationship they have at present. Her grandmother's career as a singer is used as a thread connecting the aspects of the filmmaker's life in regard to mother/daughter relationships.
Due to the aging state of the film as well as the mental and physical decay of Aurora's grandmother a certain darkness lingers through the whole piece.
Displaced
A continuation of the filmmaker's experience with her grandmother, Josephine Novis. This takes a deeper look into the family dynamics as they are impacted by the medical needs of Josephine.
