Description

This class surveys world art history since 1500 from the Renaissance to the 20th century.  We will focus on paintings, sculpture, architecture, and the decorative arts in Europe, North America, and Asia.  Credit possible in either art history or world cultures/civilizations. Students enrolled for 6 credits will complete a library research paper on an artist or art movement of their choice. This is a companion class to "Europe Since 1500."
