In Crime Source Investigation: Redefiing Crime , we will examine together how crime is defined, who defines it, who is labeled a criminal, and who receives what punishment. We'll discuss meanings of "justice," social justice, and criminal justice. We will address questions about how justice is carried out and how it could be served. We will ask questions like: Why is there a disparity in investigation and incarceration between white-collar and blue-collar criminals? Is economic inequality a crime against democracy? Are environmental catastrophes crimes? Who are the criminals? We will research specific cases. And finally, we will explore the tools needed to indict such "criminals."
