Description

The program will begin with an intensive preparation for the calculus curriculum. The main topics will be polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. Topics will be selected based on their direct relevance to calculus so students who have taken pre-calculus will still benefit from the material. The calculus curriculum will include approximations, limits, the derivative as a limit, the derivative function, the rules of differentiation, and applications of the derivative, especially optimization.
