Description

This course is designed to acquaint students with cultural adjustment theory, cross-cultural communication, and analytical journal writing prior to study abroad.  Students explore the meaning of culture, examine our own cultural assumptions, learn effective methods for gathering information in a different culture, and consider the challenges associated with the cultural adjustment process.  Course work culminates with constructing and presenting a plan for project work abroad.
