Description

This course focuses on the ways writers make arguments in a variety of contexts. Our initial shared topic will be climate change, which we will explore from various disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. Within that topic, we will examine and practice strategies for taking positions, considering objections, and using evidence. No science background is necessary. In addition to writing an argument related to our shared topic, each student will select a topic of their own for a second project.
