Description

This introductory Chinese course will emphasize the mastery of standard Chinese pronunciation and the building of useful vocabularies. Students with little or no prior experience will learn Chinese pinyin system and modern Mandarin Chinese through vigorous interactive practice and small group activities. Learning activities may also include speaker presentations and field trips. Chinese history and culture will be included as it relates to each language lesson.

Students enrolling in this course will be joined by some students from the evening/weekend program Business and Culture Along the Silk Roads .  If you are interested in traveling to China in spring, please be sure to contact Hirsh Diamant from that program (and consider joining the program, if interested).
