Description

Science comes from someone becoming curious about something in the natural world and working out a way to learn about it.  We will see this in action as we read Voyage of the Beagle (Darwin), Curious Naturalists (Tinbergen) and Plows, Plagues and Petroleum (Ruddiman).  The course is based in book seminar; you will write a seminar paper each week as preparation.

The course evaluation will be based on participation in seminar and in class, and on any other assignments.  All assigned work must be done in order to earn credit for the course.
