This course provides an introduction to key systems theories, sustainability concepts, and applied processes for implementing systemic changes. Class work will cover and include:
- General systems theories: defining and mapping systemic structures, flows, and dependencies
- Key concepts in sustainability and systemic resilience
- Identifying systemic changes to enhance sustainability
- Identifying complex interactions, systemic barriers, and leverage points
- An introduction to anticipating systemic responses
- Use of planning and process improvement tools
