Gender, Power, and Relationships

Taught by
Students will explore the characteristics and dynamics of both healthy and unhealthy relationships with special attention focused on college life. Students will examine critically the literature about gender-based violence with special attention to intimate-partner violence, rape and sexual assault. Through the use of films, small-group discussions, role-playing and other interactive activities, students will not only become aware, but also build confidence and practical skills for violence prevention and intervention on campus and in the community.
