Read section 1.9 of the text and do problems: 5, 9, 15, Look at problems 23-26, these really indicate whether or not you understand composition of functuons.

Section 2.9 Do: 9, 12, 13,14, 21

Section 3.1 Do: 2, 6, 7

Read section 3.2 of the text and do the following

  1. Write a 100-200 word summary of the section
  2. Do the following problems: 1, 5

    Activities planned for class:

    1. Homework groups (40 min)
    2. Answer questions about homework (20 min)
    3. Homework groups to work on problem 3 of section 3.1 and handout problem. (30 min)
    4. Brief lecture over new material. (30 min)
    5. Discussion (Time permitting)
