Assignment for Class 4, 10/08/97

Read section 1.4 of the text and do problems: 6, 10, 17, 20

Use Mathcad to produce the graphs and answer the questions from problem 6

For problem 10, use Mathcad to check your work after you do it by hand

For section 2.3 do the following problems:

2,4,6,8

Read section 2.4 of the text and do the following

1. Write a 100-200 word summary of the section
2. Do the following problems: 1,3,5,7,9

Class outline:

1. Homework groups, review homework for this class.
2. Answer questions
3. Work in homework groups to do problems 18, 26,28,30 of section 2.3
4. Talk about problems 4, 6, 8,10 of section 2.4 in class
