that chapter 1 is a review chapter so that 100 word summaries are not required for its sections.

Read section 1.7 of the text and do problems:

1-20 odd. (Not to be turned in but just check to make sure you can do them)

Section 2.6 Do: 5, 9, 10

Read section 2.7 of the text and do the following

• Write a 100-200 word summary of the section

Activities planned for class 7

1. Get into homework groups and discuss homework problems (approx 40 min)
2. Have a general class discussion of the homework problems. (approx 20 min)
3. In your homework groups do problem 2 of section 2.6 (approx 20 min)
4. A general class discussion of old and new material (As time permits)
