At last week's class, you should have:

Learned some new HTML (images, tiling, image mapping, backgrounds),

Learned how to scan (and scanned) an image using photoshop,
-
Insert and manipulate your image in your web page,
-
Experience a Photoshop Demo.
Please see Judy by the end of the class if you:

do not have your web authoring and email accounts, or
-
you have not filled out an Account Request Form, or
-
have not turned in your project proposal, or
-
have not yet created a home page and a class info page (with previous computing
experience, learning objectives for this class and ideas for a project.).
You should have for this class:

Read (and done exercises) for Chapters 5-8 in htmlbook.
Objectives and activities for today's class are:

Practise using the HTML Reference in htmlbook,
-
Learn some new HTML (tables and frames),
-
Answer some FAQs (frequently asked questions),
-
Talk about project deliverables and project ideas,
-
Learn about sound ,animation , and Java Scripts!

7:45-9:00 - Lab session

9-10ÝÝ- Workshop on projects
For the workshop on projects, we will divide into groups of about 4, according
to level of expertise:

ÝRed. never authored web pages before this class, using primarily web authoring
tools
-
ÝBlue. some familiarity, beginning to use raw HTML and integrate some special
features
-
ÝGreen. considerable familiarity; want to work on advanced features.

Continue reading and working in htmlbook, according to your interest pick
two chapters from Chapters 9-18. Be ready to present one technique
or idea to your group that you want to use in your project.

Everybody read Chapter 19 -- "Good HTML".

Have a project web page up, ready to demo to your group or to faculty.
Bring two questions about its design or implementation.
