Field Trips

• Week 5:  UW Plasma Physics labs and Science Center Planetarium:
Vans leave from Bus Loop in front of Red Square Thursday am
Plasma Physics 1-2, Planetarium 3-4+, supper?  then drive home
• Week 7:  Goldendale Observatory and Maryhill state park camping
Vans leave from Bus Loop in front of Red Square Friday am
Bring a bag lunch for the drive
Drive 4-5 hours to Maryhill, set up camp on the Columbia, eat supper
pm:  drive to Goldendale, look through the telescope, bring your own binocs and the Orion
camp overnight at Maryhill
Sat. am:  drive back home, arriving in the (early?) afternoon
• Week 8:  American Physical Society meeting in Vancouver (for physics and research students)
Van leaves from Bus Loop in front of Red Square Thursday noon:  bring bag lunch
Drive 5 hours? to Vancouver
Settle in dorms in Vancouver, pick up registration materials at conference
Friday and Saturday:  meetings all day
Drive back LATE Saturday night (or Sunday morning?)
