Monday: Overview:
Get together with your team today to prepare your presentation for tomorrow's
class.
Prepare: Over the weekend, you worked through your
study
guide individually, in detail. Pick a couple of candidate HW
problems on your section to propose to your team.
Do: Work with your team today to prepare your presentation
for tomorrow's class. Discuss your individual questions and answers.
Decide on a couple of problems for us to do as HW for next week.
Due: Email Zita which HW problems your team chose,
and where to find the study guide your team developed on a web page or
shared folder. Make sure all authors are credited, and I'll make
a link to your guide, and post the HW everyone chose.
Tuesday morning: Overview:
Seminar in the morning.
Prepare: Read Kuhn and write a 1-page response.
Summarize his point fairly, and make your own point compellingly.
Notice points of contact with past discussions and with Sagan Ch.12.
Do: contribute thoughtfully to seminar, including specific
page numbers for your textual references.
Due: 1 page paper, and a web crossing post afterwards
Tuesday afternoon: Overview: Mechanics
Ch.8.1,2,6 and Ch.9.3: Gravity and Virial Theorem
Prepare: work through study guides individually on weekend
and as a group on Monday.
Do: present your material in about 30+ minutes.
Pick one problem for us to do in class (if time) and one for HW.
Due: Mechanics Ch.2 HW #
1,4,6,11,13, plus your team's finished study guide and your individual
study guide that you worked through on your own over the weekend, with
changes made in a different color pen to reflect what you learned in your
reading and discussions.

WAW#3: Bring photos to scan into your web page!
Thursday: Overview:
Continue working with Mechanics Ch.8-9: Gravity and Virial
Friday: Work with your
research teams
Do: Get your study guide for next week and work through
details over the weekend.
Due: Post progress reports for each research team on WebX.
