We got up at 5:30am after the kids after going to bed after midnight the night before after the picking the kids up at the airport, so we could catch the train to the Great Wall.  We had a chance to sleep on the 4 hour train ride.  We spent the day on the wall, stayed the night at a farmer’s house, and had several meals there. We went for a short hike the next morning, then trained back to Beijing
