SYSTEMS SUPPORT
Erik Ordway and Brook Hatch have taken responsibility for systems support of the Software Fair. Erik is currently requesting information from each team in order to design the arrangements of the space. One person from each project team will need to be designated and will need to be present in the morning on May 31st to be sure that everything is working properly. Back to Planning Items

Update 5/16/00 - Eric has a table layout setup for the fair. If your group has not contacted him please do so.

BUDGET
Judy is not yet certain as to the amount of money available for the Software Fair. She will find out soon. Do not expect to be reimbursed for money spent without Judy's pre-approval. It is imperative that you keep track of all money spent (with receipts) to pass on to Judy. Let her know what you need "real money" for, with estimates, and she will try to make it happen. Update 5/16/00 - No final word yet on the budget.

Update 5/16/00 - The Tables and chairs have been ordered. We are set to pick them up on the 30th and will need to have some people on campus to tell them where to put the tables. We also have aquired 6 garbage cans.

CLEAN UP

FOOD
Food is being arranged by Dan Gardner and Marilyn Angelino. Current suggestions include coffee and cookies.

The Homebrew team would like to have a half-keg at their site, for people to TASTE, not drink. This may cause some issues, but will be doable with approval from the Steering Committee, the SOS program, and the College. The beer would be served in tiny dixie cups, and one to each person. We could even have a small toast after the fair to our learning this year. The designated dispensers would be the sponsors of the project (father and son), both over 21 years of age. Update 5/16/00 - We have Popcorn, Coffee, and $15 of credit at Safeway. If anyone has any stores they could contact for snack food donations let one of us know.

Kate Malady is arranging for Greeters/Troubleshooters to be available at the entrance to the Software Fair. We may be able to solicit assistance from students in the Concepts of Computing program or Data to Information. Back to Planning Items

Update 5/16/00 - We have contacted the CofC faculty and are working on contacting the DtoI faculty. We are looking at 4 greeters per hour, 2 to keep the food table clean and 2 to greet. Kate is also compiling a list of contacts to help with troubleshooting at the fair. Nancy Chau will be helping out with the greeters.

Update 5/22/00 - Volunteers need to man the greeting and food tables contact Kate Malady or Nancy Chau.
