The Microcinema Project This
fall the Mediaworks class prepared 20 script packages based on Kenneth
Koch's 1000 Avant Garde Plays. The students were formed into small groups
(or pods). The pods read the script packages (treatment, cast list,
screenplay, continuity script) and optioned the rights to produce them
for their collaborative Microcinema projects. When a pod selected a
package they assigned production responsibilities within their team.
Each piece is under six minutes in length, shot and edited primarily
on Digital Video. The finished projects are posted here and are open
for critique from the Mediaworks class.
These videos have been produced with the assistance of The Evergreen State College.
