Description:

One of the major components of your work this quarter will be your participation in a group performance project.  We will divide each seminar group into several project groups consisting of 6 to 8 people.  Your group will select a scene or scenes from a classical drama, and perform it/them in the final week of the quarter.  You are required to meet with your group regularly at every stage of planning and preparation throughout the quarter. (The faculty will set a schedule for the entire process of the project.)  You need to assume and fulfil one or more specific responsibilities in the production: acting, directing, costuming, scenery design, music, lighting, etc..

You must maintain a detailed record of the work which will be the basis of your project essay to be included in your academic portfolio.  At the end of the quarter, you will also be asked to evaluate your and your teammates' work in the project.
