Students with the faculty signature who are joining the program in the Winter quarter;  in addition to the Calasso book for the first week, you must read during the Winter break Euripides's plays "Bacchae" and "Medea", Sartre's play "The Flies" and Nietzsche's The Birth of Tragedy .
