1)  This quarter, we want you to focus on writing Synthesis Essays.  You still need to take notes from
      the seminar texts to prepare for seminars and writing synthesis essays, but you will not have to write Reflections.

2)  Continue background research as specified in the weekly syllabus.

3)  You will be writing on a visual image weekly.

4)  You need to take detailed notes from lectures, seminars and workshops.

There will be bi-weekly Art History quizzes.  For this, you will need to learn the names of the artists,
the titles and dates of the images you see in lectures, and in the text.
