Farm To Table : Topics In Local and Global Food Production

Hello Volunteers!
Greetings from Priest Point Park! Hope you all enjoyed some of that most welcome sunshine in the last couple days!

In order to better accommodate working volunteers and students, we are going to try a new workparty time this
month - Thursday evenings 3-7. Feel free to come for the whole time if you can, or just for an hour or two anytime during that time period - no need to be here right at 3:00. We will continue to have our Wednesday and Saturday morning workparties too, so pick whatever time works best for your schedule. Thanks so much for all of your fantastic work, and we'll see you in the parks!

Sat. May 17th - Priest Point Park 9:00am-Noon
Come help give Priest Point Park a spring clean! Depending on weather, we may be painting, mulching trees, doing English ivy removal and/or litter pick up. Meet at Kitchen Shelter #3. Call or e-mail to sign up.

Sat. May 31st - Olympia Woodland Trail Clean-up 9:00am-Noon
Come help get the Olympia Woodland Trail in tip-top shape for the upcoming celebration to honor the City's acquisition of this trail corridor. Activities may include trail tread improvements, native plantings, and/or litter pick-up. Meet at the end of Dayton Street (off Boulevard Rd) by the Doors Unlimited parking lot (1308 Dayton St. SE.). Call or e-mail to sign up.

***PLEASE NOTE*** For all Volunteers In Parks Projects, volunteers under 14 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and volunteers under 18 need to have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver of liability (available at the project site). If you would like to join us for any of these projects, please call or e-mail us to sign up. Refreshments, tools, and work gloves are provided for all workparties. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy boots or shoes. If you would like to be taken off this mailing list, send us an e-mail and we will remove your name. Thank you for your interest!
