the following criteria:

Economics – How much $ is spent on this ‘product
category’ per year in US? Prescription & OTC

Why should it be used? What are its benefits?
What is its physiological action [s]? How exactly does it work?

What are the active ingredients? What plant
constituents were the active ingredients originally derived from? Compare/
Contrast the actions of the plant constituent to the synthetically derived
chemical.

Does it have any side effects? What are they?

Contraindications for using this medication.
Who should not take this category of medication? – What would be the ramifications?

How is this medication administered? Indicate
the different ways.

Each student will submit a short paper outlining
findings and including an annotated bibliography. Each student must use
at least 2 peer-reviewed journals, and no more than 2 websites.
