Books:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
I think some high school students might really dig it.
A really good book with a main character who had autism. One of the best books I've read in a long time. A little bit Catcher in the Rye, a little bit detective story, a little bit About a Boy. There are some really cool math problems in the novel and it makes you see the world from the eyes of someone with autism.

This site is based in Michigan, but it has an article '20 Ways To Ensure the Successful Inclusion of Asperger Child in the General Education Classroom' which has some good tips.  We noticed in our group that some of the guidelines for instructional strategies and modifications for certain disabilities, like here, seem like good ideas for many different sorts of students we're reading about in the sped book and discussing in class
